Your Own Personal Decorative Wall Art - 3 Great Ways to Decorate YOUR
Walls
Decorating your home should be a labor of love, but some people get upset and stressed about it because they
feel they know nothing about home décor. While you do have to put some thought into what you are going to do and
how things are going to go together, you should never stress. Things that you can use to decorate your walls can
cost a lot of money, but they do not have to. You can find or make your own decorative wall art that will look good
and will leave you feeling that you truly are home each time you walk through your house.
You may think of posters as things that you put on your wall when you were a teenager, and that this is hardly
something that you want to use as decorative wall art now that you are an adult, but that is not always true.
Surely you don't want to hang posters of today's music or movie stars on a poster in your living room, but you can
find some really great prints of great works of art in poster form. If you get these for your home, something that
inspires you or at the very least contains colors that go with your room, you can frame it in a nice frame and have
a great piece of wall art.
If you have a rather artistic family, you can make your own decorative wall art for different rooms in your
home. You can get canvas from your local hobby or art store and inexpensive paints. You can paint on your own, or
you can use items in your home to stamp designs in different colors. Have your kids paint for you. You may be
surprised at how nice these things look after they have dried, been framed, and then hung on the wall. It doesn't
have to be perfect, it just as to come from the heart, and what could be more precious than what your children
create for you?
Decorative wall art can be photographs as well. You want to take your favorite snapshots (not portraits) that
look the most natural and have them framed to hang in your home. You don't want things that look posed but rather
you want something that looks like a great moment in time caught in a photograph. Closeups work best for this, but
you can use any shot you really like. Blow them up, convert them to black and white, and then frame them in any
frames you like and then hang them on the wall in any grouping you like.
If you want to save money on your decorative wall art, simply search around online for easy pieces that you
like. You can also go to flea markets and even rummage sales to see what you can find. You may not think that you
have an eye for style or design, but something may jump out at you. If you like it, there is no reason why you can
not have it in your own home, even if you seem to be the only one that finds beauty in it. The whole point is for
you to enjoy being at home, it doesn't really matter what your personal critics may have to say.
